Spot's coverage doesn't depend on any pre-existing conditions

Spot does not cover pre-existing conditions like other pet insurance plans. Some conditions, however, are excluded from the policy. Some health conditions, such as intervertebral disc disease, dental disease, hip dysplasia and intervertebral disease, are not covered. Other exclusions include dental and orthodontic procedures and expenses related to boarding and daycare. The insurance policy does not cover cosmetic procedures, bilateral conditions, or any other treatment.

Spot's policy on pre-existing conditions does not cover arthritis treatment. A pre-existing condition is any condition that existed prior to the plan being issued by Spot. The insurance company will not pay for treatment of arthritis unless the condition is already cured. Although there is no age limit for this policy, customers must pay a deductible at least $2,500 to cover any vet expenses.
